Contemporary analytic philosophy

The principal philosophical concepts as understood within contemporary analytic philosophy will be presented, namely: philosophical analysis, definition, concept – its range and content, the argument, the basic of informal and of the formal reasoning; premises, theses, hypotheses, conclusion; deduction and induction, methodology. The main ideas of the contemporary analytic philosophy together with a choice of its representative authors; conceptual analysis and the paradox of the analysis, atomism, ordinary language philosophy, definition, the case of the definition of knowledge, scientific hypotheses, empiricism, Vienna circle and the scientific philosophical tradition, justification, normativity and naturalization in epistemology, in ontology and in ethics, common sense psychology, theory of meaning, realism and antirealism, truth, mereology, postanalytic philosophy, contextualism, particularism.
The method of analytic philosophy is presented using the cases of contemporary debates on questions of ontology and metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and aesthetics.
