The topics of the thesises are related to less complex problems in the area of Japanese linguistics, literature, history and sociology, refering to subjects performed simultaneously. The thesis is written in Slovene with a 12 to 15 page (12,000 to 15,000 Japanese characters) summary in Japanese for the second cycle of the program of Japanese studies and 8 to 10 pages (8,000 to 10,000 Japanese characters) for the double major program of the second cycle.
For the thesises of double major students slightly less sources in Japanese are required (however, not less than 70% of the single major thesis). The level of methodological accuracy and depth of argumentation should be the same as for single major thesises.
The students present the proceeding of their research at the Master thesis seminar.
A master thesis awarded a positive grade will be presented in Japanese during the Master thesis seminary (the presentation and defence together last 30 minutes).

To be selected individually, depending on the chosen research theme.
