Tutorial and Symposium for the ERC Synergy Project Application
“Human–AI Collaboration in Studying the Reception of Kant in China”
November 5–7, 2025
The Tutorial and Symposium for the ERC Synergy Project Application “Human–AI Collaboration in Studying the Reception of Kant in China” (November 5–7, 2025) brings together scholars from philosophy, artificial intelligence, linguistics, and digital humanities to explore new interdisciplinary methods for analyzing the transcultural reception of Kant’s thought in Chinese philosophy. The event aims to refine the conceptual, methodological, and technical foundations of the proposed ERC Synergy project ChinKant.AI, fostering dialogue between humanistic inquiry and AI-based analysis in the study of global intellectual history.
The event is organized by Professor Jana S. Rošker as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of the Department of Asian Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana.

The event will open with a two-day tutorial (November 5–6) led by Professor Josef van Genabith from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.
Title of the tutorial: Artificial Intelligence for Philosophy and the Humanities: Tool, Agent, or Both?
